This is a design I created for the Obey/Metro Park t-shirt contest. It's a picture of mother nature who is crying because of the destruction/pollution we're causing to our environment. You can check out the contest at:
I didn't know it's mother earth until you told me, which means you should probably have some leaves or plant life flowing out of her hair. I don't think she needs to be crying, wearing a gas mask is pretty self-explanitory that you can't breath and that's there's something life threatening going on.
Another bit, there's not enough pollution or buildings/factories, you put the focus on the flowing hair and her eye. I kind of notice a refinery in the background. You need to have her flanked by smoke chimneys and powerlines. maybe change the composition from an oval to a vertical rectangle with towers above her head. the rectangle will give you more room to play with the power and affect of your composition
I'm being critical, cause i know you have skills and this piece looks good, but it's not great yet. good luck with the contest and remember it's advertising, so be blunt with your symbols, beat us over the head, but be smart about it.
Great to see you posting again. What's it been, six months? Great job though. Has sort of a propaganda feel to it, which I definitely love. Great work.

We want to know what love means to you!
Get your creative juices flowing and design a movie poster for "Paper Heart" that focuses on the theme "What Does Love Mean to Me?".

The butter legion- a socialist movement/mass colab project I started, to trigger artistic change and evolution in Da artists (mainly my watchers), to make them more active and dedicated on DA. Now 170 people strong and growing... A "dangerous cult"? a "new religion"? "artistic version of fight club" or "communist movement"? You decide!
Hello there! This news article is the result of a thumb share thread I posted few days ago on the dA forum along with pictures from my favorites. I hope you enjoy them.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant.
