This piece was finished awhile ago but I didn't want to submit it just yet because I was waiting to see if I made it into the Spectrum 15: The Best of Contemporary Fantastic Art. Unfortunately I found out today that I didn't make it. I'm a bit bummed about it, but oh well. There's always room to improve my art and get better. Let me know what you all think of this piece.

but i think the one thing i notice that seems off are the stars, there's just none in the piece they don't seem totally necessary (not that they take away from the awesome though)

Cool design man, I don\'t know about the one tentacle coming from her mouth it hurts the continuity perhaps she should have been sucking on a coil rooted in her hair instead. The heavy outlines on the facial shading is really bold in style imo I love it, I like the heavy outline around the whole thing too. The hi-lights in both the main and secondary light-sources are nice, I think dialing up the secondary blue light source would have been good

What I don\'t like is all the raster looking textures on the background etc, :(

You are very perceptive. It's all new to me when I was working on the piece. In retrospect, there are lots of things I would do differently. Thank you for your honest critique. =)

hmm you shouldn\'t be bummed out about it not making it, it is still Fantastic Art. I think that the textures are awesome.

No, I already graduated from college. Aside from a full-time job, I also do lots of freelance stuff on the side. So my time is pretty much spent.
